The Cast: Who's Who (October 2017)

Guys,

Well, it was all returning studs this month. Corey and Ramsay managed to get in twice, while Ryan, Brody and Buck saw their first action in almost a year.

Review: Dozer vs Eagle x 2 (Thunders Arena)

I pulled some images from these two matches a while back, but never got around to posting about the videos. Even though these two videos feature the same guys, they're pretty different. One is a typical Thunders Arena. The other is a short specialty taste featuring some tickling and very, very light and brief bondage.

Match 1 is a familiar scene ...

... while Match 2 stretches things a little.

Review: Chet Chastain vs. Mark Muscle w/Brendan Cage (Wrestler4Hire)

Today, I'm covering a video from Wrestler4Hire featuring what I'd call a specialty taste, but it's likely one with broad appeal. Why? Well, it's based off a classic pro wrestling trope. You'll know the one. The one where the evil rich guy (e.g., a promoter, manager, etc.) uses hired muscle to hurt the handsome face. The one where an emotionless brute for hire uses his superior muscle to abuse a cute young stud for his employer's enjoyment. Yeah, that one.

If this scenario appeals to you, you'll likely love this video. The talent and elements of that story are all pretty much here and Chet makes a great victim.

Brendan: "It's nice to be rich. Just have people do what
I want them to do. Like kick your little pussy ass."

Randomness (Twitter Edition)

I'm a pretty orderly person. Somewhat OCD, but not in a debilitating way. You can probably tell that by how formulaic this blog is. Stories, reviews and other posts are written within a system, done in advance and compartmentalized into neat little buckets. However, the world doesn't always work like that. I come across random stuff all the time, especially on Twitter.

Up to now, my attitude has been, "if I can't build a proper post around it, I put it aside". While everything on the blog is in its place, not everything has had a place here. Today, that changes. A little. Here's some random stuff that's caught my eye recently on Twitter.

WWE Folks: Dash Wilder. Twitter: @DashWilderWWE

My love of Dash Wilder should be no surprise. After all, I cast him as Daring Danny Chase in the AWL series (my only straight ongoing narrator). I still find him cute and sexy as he's matured into an adorable bad ass tag champ in the WWE. And so, I love these when GIFs like this show up in my feed.

So cute and sexy.

Review: Joey King vs. Vinny (Thunders Arena)

Joey King: "I ain't gettin' beat by no dude in a banana hammock. Clearly, one of us is a pro and one of us is an amateur playing around in his underwear."

Gotta love Thunders Arena for videos like Joey King vs. Vinny. It's just the kind of thing only they can do. Of course, I knew I'd buy this one as soon as I saw it. Both these guys have had a good year with some real winning videos. Of course, there's never a guarantee the video will live up to the talent. So how did it go?

Review: #545 Austin Tyler vs. Max Ryder (UCW)

If you've visited the blog very often, you know that I ask for comments on virtually every post. I love all comments, but one of my favorite things is when you guys give me suggestions and recommendations. I mentioned in my last UCW review (here) that I hadn't watched much from them lately. My readers came through with a couple of suggestions and I bought both.

Wow, a friendly start for Austin vs. Max.

I will acknowledge that it didn't take much convincing to get me to try it. I figure readers know my tastes well enough by now to make a solid recommendation and both videos feature two guys that I really like. Max Ryder vs. Austin Tyler was the first one I watched and it was definitely a good one.

Review: Guido Genatto vs. Chet Chastain/Alvin James (Wrestler4Hire)

Chet: "Guido! We came here to issue a challenge. The hottest tag team in wrestling versus the alpha male of the underground. Two-on-one. What do you say?"

Guido: "Both of you? I'll kick both of your asses right now!"

Guido kicks things off in this handicap match.

Rival Pro Wrestling 2: Cave vs. Country

Narrator: Brody
Location: Rival Pro Wrestling Locker Room

Me. Brody. Getting ready for action.

“So we're all set? Great job maneuvering this, Ramsay.”

As the 6’3”/230-lbs 21-year old hunk strips down, he replies to me, “Thanks, Brody. I ran into Ryan's friend Corey. I learned they knew about Rival. Him and me started talking about how to avoid a feud. It just kind of happened.”

Review: Dash Decker vs. Sasha Savvin (88 Wrestling)

Of all the surprises with the launch of 88 Wrestling, the return of Dash Decker to the ring is the biggest for me. I honestly never thought he'd be back. In fact, one of my custom match wishes at the end of August was buying him out of retirement and sending him to Thunders Arena. This isn't that, but I'll take more Dash anyway I can get him.

Dash is back!

Review: Beauxregard vs. Calvin Haynes (BGEast)

You know the old expression, “it's not you, it's me”? People never mean that. Like never. Until now. In this case, I really do mean it. It's 100% me. In my excitement over this BGEast pairing, I jumped on it, failing to notice one little detail. It's a Wrestle Worship video. Yeah, I really wanted to see these two in a match. Just not this one. However, I'm a big enough man to admit that it's my fault, not theirs. It's branded right. The description is right.

It's not quite the big boy battle I expected.

Review: Tanner Hill vs. Chase Lundquist (88 Wrestling)

It's probably not a huge surprise that I bought both 88 Wrestling debut videos. This evolution of Rock Hard Wrestling intrigued me right away and I was curious to see how it would go. It might be a surprise that I've chosen to review Tanner Hill vs. Chase Lundquist first. I think this makes a more interesting video to review because it doesn't feature anyone I really like.

1,000,000

The Cave has officially passed the 1 million page views milestone. Say what? How the heck did that happen?

Launched on February 28 2015, it took 953 days to get here. Technically, if you count the New Stories blog I used at launch, I passed a million in August. I don't count that way, though. Somehow it's just not the same as seeing that little counter on the lower right actually hit seven figures.

So that's when we got here. HOW did we get here?

The Bat contributes a lot of views

Review: Blayne vs. Iceman18 (Thunders Arena)

Full disclosure: This video was provided to me by Thunders Arena.

Today, I'm looking at Blayne vs. Iceman18, the second of the two Iceman18 videos I was sent. Once again, the rookie gets a great opponent for a debut match. While Frey is the usual initiation at Thunders Arena, I think that Blayne has evolved into a perfect foil for a young newbie.

Boys being boys as Blayne helps
break in the latest rookie.

Review: Frey vs. Iceman18 (Thunders Arena)

Full disclosure: This video was provided to me by Thunders Arena.

I think the most impressive thing about Thunders Arena is how they never stop finding new young studs. I wish a lot of them would hang around longer, but I've learned to appreciate them for the time they're there. A big part of the 'flash-in-the-pan' feeling is driven by their distribution model. While BGEast might produce the same number of matches with a guy, they will take years to release them. With Thunders, five matches might be uploaded in two weeks then you never see him again.

And so, when I saw they sent me a couple of matches with a new find named Iceman18, I was excited to check them out. I started with Iceman18 vs. Frey, because let's face it, that's how so many rookies begin their careers - facing off against the master.

Welcome to Thunders, Iceman18.
You couldn't be in better hands.

The Cave Unleashed 4: Corey vs. Ramsay

An Indie Federation Ring

“Wow, this is fucking cool, Corey.”

“You think it's cool now? Just wait until I get your hot ass actually in the ring, big guy.”

I suddenly giggle like an idiot before I can stop myself. Fuck, be cool, Ramsay. Normally, I'm the one who guys are idiots over, but this time, the roles are reversed. In fact, I'm still in shock over how fast this has all happened. This Corey guy came up to me in the park while I was stretching, getting ready to smack a few balls. Baseballs, that is.

Me. Ramsay.
